Every week, TicketForce brings you news on a trending story in the world of music, theatre, sports or racing. This week’s #musicwrap features the artist whose hit summer song has taken over Billboard.

Anyone who has listened to the radio this summer most likely has Robin Thicke’s catchy song, “Blurred Lines”, stuck in their head. Billboard’s Hot 100 No. 1 title track has helped Thicke reach his best sales week ever.

Although Robin Thicke’s debut album was released more than 10 years ago, “Blurred Lines” is his first album to score the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. With over 177,000 copies sold, it far surpasses his previous record for his 2008 album “Something Else” which sold 137,000 copies.

It may seem odd for an artist to make a comeback after a decade, but Thicke is actually the sixth act this year to do so.  Black Sabbath, Queens of the Stone Age, Daft Punk, Gary Allen and Chris Tomlin have all returned with number one hits.
