This week marked the start of the 107th year of the Inter-State Fair and Rodeo in Coffeyville, Kansas. Spanning 8 nights—including 4 nights of PRCA Rodeo—the fair has long been a tradition for residents of southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma.
There are more than enough events to keep attendees of all ages entertained, including agricultural and fine arts exhibits, carnival rides, livestock judging, a mid-week parade, rodeo, and a country and western music festival.
Wrapping up the annual fair and rodeo is the 2015 Inter-State Rodeo in the grandstand arena at Walter Johnson Park. The Inter-State Rodeo is one of 650 sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), and has seen remarkable growth thanks to the support and cooperation of local and national businesses. Located in the PRCA’s Prairie Circuit, they are co-sanctioned this year with the Great Lakes Circuit and the Southeast Circuit, drawing contestants from across circuit lines as they compete to qualify for full membership in the PRCA.
A parade today will kick off the start of the rodeo, which continues nightly through Saturday. To purchase tickets for the Inter-State Fair and Rodeo, visit https://fairandrodeo.ticketforce.com.
