Tis the season for holiday shows, and tonight, A Christmas Story, The Musical will premier at Madison Square Garden. The show, based off of the 1983 Christmas time classic, follows Ralphie Parker’s search for his dream Christmas present.

The story is built on stories written by legendary radio persona, Jean Shepherd. It features funny and earnest songs by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul and an authentic yet inventive book by Joseph Robinette.

Directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, this musical is sure to capture the hearts of both the adults and children in the audience. A Christmas Story, The Musical, which debut last Christmas, will have returning cast members Dan Lauria, John Bolton, Erin Dilly, and Caroline O’Connor, and Ralphie will be played by Jake Lukas who appeared in the Broadway production of  “Newsies.”

The production captures the holiday spirit while providing the wit and banter that audiences love. Ticket prices start at $40, and the show will be performed until December 29th.
