Every week, TicketForce brings you news on one of four industries: racing, sports, theatre, or music. In this week’s #TheatreWrap we inform you of what is promised to be an interesting and buzzworthy Broadway show.

With performances beginning March 25, “Clinton: The Musical” will take the stage like no other show has done before. Starring Tony Award-nominated Kerry Butler as Hillary Rodham Clinton, the performance follows Clinton’s journey as the leading Democratic candidate during the 2016 election. Butler also starred in “Catch Me If You Can,” “The Best Man” and “Rock of Ages.”

Coincidentally, Butler volunteered for Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign and while originally hesitant to step into a role such as this says, “If it’s going to go, it should go now. It’s really funny and timely.”

Accordinging to Huffington Post, “The musical was nominated for Best New Musical at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and transferred to London's King's Head Theatre in 2013. Last year, it played the New York Musical Theatre Festival.”

“Clinton: The Musical” will open at New World Stages on March 25. For more information about the show, click here.
