Each week, TicketForce brings you trending news on one of four industries: racing, sports, music or theatre. This week's #TheatreWrap unites both theatre and sports fans with the announcement of the Broadway favorite Rock of Ages, which is being added to Super Bowl XLVIII’s performance schedule.
Super Bowl fans will find Rock of Ages at Super Bowl Boulevard’s Roman Numeral Stage on January 30th, and on super Bowl Sunday at the official NFL Tailgate Party outside MetLife Stadium. This five time Tony-nominated Broadway show features hits from all of your favorite ‘80s hair bands including Night Ranger, Twisted Sister, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, and last but not least, Journey.
As if performing at the Super Bowl wasn’t exciting enough, Rock of Ages has even launched a video contest, which invites participants to send in videos of themselves jamming out to either Bon Jovi’s, “Wanted Dead or Alive,” or Whitesnake’s, “Here I Go Again.” The winner will get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of performing Journey’s mega-hit “Don’t Stop Believin’” along with the Rock of Ages cast on the Roman Numeral Stage in Time’s Square.
