Each week, TicketForce brings you news on one of four industries: sports, racing, theatre or music. This week’s #sportswrap features the NHL's Winter Classic.
This year's Winter Classic took place on New Year's Day in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and left a record-breaking crowd of fans with pounding hearts up until the last minute.
The game's attendance reached 105,591, which surpassed the 104,173 who saw Michigan and Michigan State play in the Big House back in 2010.
The Big House, a bit more packed this year, saw quite the exciting game. The Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings went into overtime, followed by a shootout. With a game time temperature of just 13 degrees, steady snow, and wind, players were challenged with pushing the puck through piles of snow with wind in their face.
Tyler Bozak of the Toronto Maple Leafs, scored the winning shootout goal, giving the Maple Leafs a 3-2 victory over Detorit.
