Each week, TicketForce brings you news on the latest and greatest in one of four industries: music, sports, racing and theatre. This week’s #SportsWrap will give you all the details about football’s biggest event of the year: Super Bowl XLVIII.

This year’s matchup will feature a showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos. These teams will travel to MetLife Stadium and New York and New Jersey will be the hosts of this year’s event. Super Bowl XLVIII will be the first outdoor, cold weather Super Bowl event. With the way the weather patterns on the east coast have been lately, it promises to be just that.

The Seahawks will make their second Super Bowl appearance, finishing first in total and scoring defense during their regular season. Their quarterback Russell Wilson will face off against Bronco’s quarterback, the ever-popular Peyton Manning. Wilson boasts the most regular season wins by a quarterback in his first two seasons. This has only been done once before in the year 1950.

The Broncos on the other hand will be making their Super Bowl debut for the seventh time, holding a win-loss record of two and four. Peyton Manning is chasing after his goal of being the first quarterback to win the Super Bowl with two different teams. He has a Super Bowl win-loss record of one and one when he played quarterback for the Colts. Manning will be going into this year’s matchup with the best season ever by a quarterback in his rearview with 5477 passing yards and 55 touchdowns.

As if this game matchup wasn’t impressive enough, the halftime show will feature two music icons. The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bruno Mars will take the stage in what is projected to be a memorable performance.
