Every week, TicketForce brings you news on one of four industries: racing, sports, theatre, or music. This week’s #MusicWrap downloads what is in the works for Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Webb, Spider-Man’s director, has big plans for its second go-round. He envisions the sequel will be “bigger, more spectacular, and less tethered to reality” than the first. While most movie sequels will lose popularity, Webb is aiming for the complete opposite.

One of his tactics, along with movie composer Hans Zimmer, who also composed the award winning soundtracks from The Lion King and The Dark Knight, is through creating a soundtrack unlike any others. The soundtrack for this movie will be a collaboration between many talented musicians including Pharrell Williams, Johnny Marr of the Smiths, and Mike Einziger from Incubus.

The new approach for scoring the film comes with the goal of creating a soundtrack that will resonate with the audience, but will also coincide with the characters in the film.

"We were this pressure cooker," Zimmer says. "Having all this talent in the room, there were ideas flying around all the time. They weren’t just about music. They were about story, they were about all sorts of things."

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens on May 2nd. Will you be in the audience? Let us know on Twitter by sending a tweet to @ticketforce.
