Each week TicketForce brings you an update on all things music, racing, theatre, and sports. This week’s #MusicWrap brings you the latest news on music producer Timbaland and the release of a new album from pop music legend, Michael Jackson.

Back in August of 2013, L.A. Reid, an esteemed executive in the entertainment industry turned CEO and chairman of Epic Records, approached the highly talented music producer Timbaland. Timbaland has worked with many of the music industry’s greats including Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z, so it was only fitting that he would be asked to produce a new Michael Jackson album. The album will feature some unreleased vocals from Michael Jackson, and will be one Timbaland says will “complete his legacy,” as a music producer.

The album was originally expected to be finished in late 2013, but a release date is still to be set. On Thursday, March 6, 2014, Timbaland released a one minute preview during his online web series #TimbalandThursdays. The song released is titled “Slave to Rhythm,” and includes strong and “angry” vocals from Michael Jackson, violin, a build of “funky percussion and a rolling synth,” and is finished off with the Timbaland style that is well known by all familiar with today’s pop music.
