Twitter, a leading social media platform (and one of our favorites), recently rolled out an update in design that they hope will make it easier to tweet.
The new update is comprised of a little box at the top of the home timeline, next to your profile box. Embedded within the box is a question prompting users with the phrase, “What’s happening?” Many Twitter users have sounded off about the new update saying that it is very similar to the Facebook status update on the news feed.
We are unsure if this is just a testing period for Twitter or if it is the real deal, and Twitter has not responded with any comments thus far. The only publicity given by the social media outlet is a single tweet that reads, “It just got easier to Tweet on http://Twitter.com . You can now compose new Tweets at the top of your home timeline.”
