A new “Mister Cellophane” is set to hit Broadway in the classic musical, Chicago. Christopher Fitzgerald will replace Todd Buonopane in the role of Amos Hart. In addition, Buonopane will have his final performance on October 27th.
Chicago is a timeless show that continually leaves fans raving about their Broadway experience. Chicago is set around a nightclub dancer named Roxie Hart. She murders her side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to cover up her crime, Roxie hires the “slickest” lawyer in Chicago and ends up finding fame in her downfall. This award-winning musical features classic music by John Kander and Fred Ebb and boasts 6 Tony Awards, 2 Olivier Awards, and a Grammy.
Christopher Fitzgerald will be joining a cast of talented individuals and will be bringing a multitude of talent himself. He most recently graced the big screen alongside Kristen Wiig and Annette Bening in Girl Most Likely. His other roles include Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant, Personal Velocity: Three Portraits, Dedication, and television roles on the WB series Twins, NBC’s Next Caller, and PBS’ The Electric Caller.
