Mesa, Az. (December 14, 2017) – The Florida Theatre has officially joined the TicketForce family and selected the Arizona-based ticketing solutions company to provide services for all their ticketing events. Making the change to TicketForce will empower Florida Theatre in many significant ways, including the capacity to build their audience and make their marketing work smarter and their data more valuable.

The announcement came after a gradual migration, which officially began in October of 2016. The theatre, which is ranked by Pollstar as one of the Top 100 most attended theatre venues in the country, has been garnering more and more support over the last four years and has finally decided to take control over their customer’s experience. Numa Saisselin, President of Florida Theatre said, “Joining the TicketForce system gives us complete control of our own ticketing database, which helps us to market shows more effectively. It also allows us to retain control of the ticket fees that customers pay. We have been able to reduce the average customer fee by at least $4 per ticket.” In addition to the decrease in customer fees, by making the switch to the TicketForce platform, the nonprofit theatre will be earning about $250,000 in new revenue per year, which automatically gets reinvested into the growth and expansion of the theatre through building upgrades and programming.

The Florida Theatre first opened its doors in April of 1927, and has been managed by the Theatre Performing Arts Center Inc., a nonprofit organization in downtown Jacksonville, since 1987. The theatre seats 1,944 people and hosts anywhere between 175 to 200 events annually the theatre is one of the last three remaining in Florida that still carry the elaborate history of theatres built in the 1920’s.
